If you work with children in an early childhood setting, you can be rewarded for:

  • Advancing in your Career Pathway Placement and/or;
  • Taking training to maintain a consistent Career Pathway Placement and/or;
  • Completing training or college coursework, leading to an early childhood credential or early childhood education degree and/or;
  • Completing CDA verification visit

While funding is available, several individual incentive opportunities are available for individuals who work in early childhood direct care positions.

Incentives are available from Health and Human Services. The Early Childhood Section administers the incentives through the Early Childhood Workforce Registry.

To participate, you must have a current, up-to-date membership with the Early Childhood Workforce Registry, including the following:

  • Your legal name
  • Current personal mailing address (home address). Important: DO NOT use your employer's address
  • Your true date of birth
  • The last five digits of your actual Social Security number. You will be able to update this at the time you submit your first application for an incentive or stipend.
  • Current, accessible personal email address

Individual Account Guide

 

You must set up an account in the State of ND Payee Portal (Supplier ID#). The supplier ID is the number that is used to issue your payment.

  • The system will check to see if you have a supplier ID#. If you do not have a supplier ID#, you will be sent instructions via the email in your Registry account.  
  • State of ND Payee Portal requires the use of your legal name, address and social security number that is associated with your tax information.
  • If your address, payment situation, or name changes, it is important that you update your information by following the instructions in the email you received or sign in here and update the information.

You will not be eligible to apply for some incentives if your employer has not completed their Registry Organization Profile review each month and verified your employment with them.

Talk with your program director to make sure they are receiving and completing the Organization Profile Review.

Important Notes:

  • Family and group providers must have verified organization accounts with the Registry for their business and follow this same procedure

You can apply for incentives from your Early Childhood Workforce Registry member account.

Be sure to read the details of each of the incentives for which you are eligible and follow the directions to complete your application. Remember each incentive has specific rules and requirements.

 

Step 1: Go to the ND Early Childhood Hub and log in

Step 2: On the left side navigation of your individual account, Click on Workforce Incentives.

Step 3: Click on the blue Apply button.

Step 4: There are multiple sections in the application that you will need to Review/Manage. You can track your progress by viewing the (unconfirmed/confirmed, incomplete/complete) icons. Click the Review/Manage button to view the information in each section.

Step 5: It is important that your personal information be correct and up to date. If your personal information needs to be updated, click the Edit button in the top right corner. Click Confirm when information is accurate and reflects your IRS tax information.

Step 6: Once you have made the changes to your personal information you will need to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Step 7: Click the Review button and verify that your Employment Information is accurate. If your employment information needs to be updated, click the Edit button in the top right corner. Click Confirm when employment is accurate.

Step 8: Click the Manage button for Workforce Incentives.

Step 9: Select the incentive you would like to apply for. Click Check Eligibility to see what Workforce Incentives you are eligible for.

Step 10: If you are not eligible, "Not Eligible" will appear. Click on the View Eligibility Requirements for more information.

Step 11: After you have selected everything you want to apply for, click Save & Confirm.

Step 12: Once all sections have been Reviewed/Managed and confirmed/complete, click on the blue Submit Application button.

Step 13: You will need to agree to the Terms and Conditions box and click Continue.

Step 14: Successful completion of your application will appear.

Note: After your application has been successfully submitted you will receive a series of emails for next steps to set up your payments (State of ND Payee Portal).
