Kognito has announced they are sunsetting their brand. For this reason, North Dakota will only have access to Friend2Friend Student modules through June 30, 2025. We encourage 6th-12th grade students to complete modules during the 23-24 and 24-25 school years.

What is the cost of Kognito?

There is no cost to utilizing Kognito. The Department of Health and Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division offers these simulations to all 6th-12th grade students at no cost.

How can I implement Kognito Friend2Friend modules in my school or district?

Friend2Friend peer modules can be used as a standalone training for students, or it can be rolled out in conjunction with other curriculum made available by Kognito to extend learning. The blended learning is ideal as it allows for pre-module and post-module activities to enhance student learning.

Students can create their own logins, or Kognito can support by uploading student rosters to the platform.

A student has moved districts. Can their login still be accessed?

Yes, a student may login to the account of their previous school to print out certificates they have completed and create a new login for their new school, or Kognito can transfer that student account from the old school email address to the other. Please contact marques.nelson@kognito.com.

How can I as a staff member review the Friend2Friend modules?

The Friend2Friend student modules are available in the review format in all ND school personnel accounts.

Who can facilitate Friend2Friend modules?
Any teacher can facilitate student modules. It is recommended facilitators review modules prior to implementation. It is suggested that an extra staff be available should students need to process content individually.

Who is the target audience for the Friend2Friend Modules?

The Friend2Friend modules are recommended for all 6th-12th graders in North Dakota as a Universal support. It is recommended students complete the module individually on their own device, but extension activities could be provided in individually, small group, or whole class setting.

Am I able to see the pre/post survey data for my students?

Data from the pre/post surveys taken by students for each module are collected anonymously. However, Kognito can pull this data per school to share. If interested in this feature, please contact marques.nelson@kognito.com.

Parents can create a login the same way as a student. Once registered, they will select “parent” and be able to review the modules in their account.
