This series introduces trainees to the application of CBT to psychosis and includes a review of the cognitive model and its application in psychosis, core CBT techniques, and how to use formulation-driven CBT to address core characteristics of psychosis (hallucinations, delusions, negative symptoms) as well as co-morbid symptoms (depression, anxiety). We recommend all clinicians / therapists conducting psychotherapy with individuals experiencing psychosis attend this training. North Dakotans invited to March 16 update on USDOJ settlement agreement efforts to expand in-home care options for people with physical disabilities  

North Dakota Health and Human Services is inviting residents to a quarterly update and discussion on March 16, 1 – 3 p.m. CDT, on the state’s efforts to make it easier for North Dakotans with physical disabilities to live at home with in-home help and other community support services. The goal is to ensure people have care options and can delay or avoid nursing home care if they choose. 


NEW: Working Parents Child Care Relief pilot program is a shared investment by employers, North Dakota and parents in affordable quality child care

North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is reaching out to employers to participate in the new Working Parents Child Care Relief pilot program. The program will  match employer-led child care benefits of at least $300 per month. The new public-private partnership can help employers attract and retain workforce while providing some working parents with financial relief from the high cost of child care for infants and toddlers.

HHS Child Care Assistance Program enhances online provider payment system

The payment process will also change to align with the process most providers use of billing families in advance for child care. Today, the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Public Health Division responded to the final report of an audit of the Department of Health conducted by the Office of the State Auditor that covered the biennium ending June 2021.

“The auditor’s office spent over one year completing their inquiry. During this time, they reviewed testing of compliance and financial records, contact tracing, COVID-19 deaths, COVID-19 vaccine storage, handling and distribution, COVID-19 testing and reporting, and COVID-19 dashboards and information systems and had no findings for these areas,” said HHS Public Health Division Executive Director Dirk Wilke.
