A license is required to provide foster care in your home. An application is required to begin the process and all adults living in the home must successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check. Interested individuals or families must complete an initial orientation and pre-service training as part of the licensing process. A North Dakota Licensing Specialist will be assigned to and will visit the home to complete a home study in efforts to make a determination to approve or deny a license.

To visit more about the licensing process, contact 1-833-FST-HOME or 1-833-378-4663. You may also choose to complete an online interest form.
