Changes to QRIS Bonus Amounts
Starting Sept. 1, 2025, the bonus amounts paid through the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) based on child care providers’ Bright & Early ND Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) level will change.
Previous bonus amounts: | New bonus amounts, |
Step 4: 15% | Step 4: 10% |
Step 3: 10% | Step 3: 5% |
Step 2: 5% | Step 2: 2% |
When: Payments issued Sept. 5 will reflect the new bonus amounts.
Why this is changing: This update will help rebalance program funding while continuing to recognize provider quality.
What this means: Providers may call with questions or concerns about the lower bonus percentages. You can share that the change is a funding adjustment, but providers will still receive recognition for their QRIS level.
