Join North Dakota Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families Children’s Bureau for a virtual town hall on July 16 from 1 – 3 p.m. CT.

During the town hall, the Children’s Bureau will present findings from the most recent Child and Family Services Review.

The purpose of the review is to ensure that states’ child welfare systems conform with federal child welfare requirements. The reviews help states identify strengths and areas needing improvement.

Based on the findings, North Dakota will be responsible for writing a program improvement plan with well-defined strategies to address areas needing improvement.

Everyone involved in North Dakota’s child welfare system including child welfare workers, state and tribal child welfare agencies, judges, attorneys, juvenile justice agencies, private and public mental/behavioral health agencies, schools, parents/caregivers of children in foster care, foster-adopt caregivers, care providers, guardians, foster care youth in foster care (or history of being in foster care), and more are encouraged to join the town hall.
