New courses and refreshed content are coming to the ND Early Childhood Training Calendar. North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is launching new and refreshed training on Oct. 1. The updates include a refreshed ND Getting Started course and two new courses. All three courses will be available in English, Spanish and Somali.
 

North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) announces 68 early childhood programs and 94 classrooms across North Dakota are participating in Best in Class for the 2026–2027 program year.

Beginning Sept. 21, a North Dakota Login (NDLogin) account will be required to access the ND Early Childhood Hub (hub). This transition will provide a more streamlined and secure sign-in experience while allowing users to access various North Dakota online services with a single account.

The Bright & Early ND Quality Indicators have been updated and are now available for programs preparing to demonstrate how their practices align with the Bright & Early ND Quality Standards. The updated indicators apply to all new applications submitted on or after Aug. 1, 2026.

Beginning August 1, 2026, we are expanding Bright & Early ND, North Dakota's Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), to better support early childhood programs at every stage of their quality journey.

Starting in July 2026, early childhood professionals will have a new way to showcase their learning and professional growth. A new series of digital badges aligned with the Child Development Associate® (CDA®) national credentialing program will be available in the ND Early Childhood Hub.
