The Bright & Early ND Quality Indicators have been updated and are now available for programs preparing to demonstrate how their practices align with the Bright & Early ND Quality Standards. The updated indicators apply to all new applications submitted on or after Aug. 1, 2026.
To get started, we encourage programs to review the Bright & Early ND Quality Rating Guide on the Bright & Early ND Resources page. The guide provides an overview of the Bright & Early ND Quality Indicators and the requirements for achieving a Step 2, Step 3, or Step 4 Quality Rating. Use the guide to review each indicator, check your current progress, and identify areas where additional support may be helpful as you work with your coach.
