Public comment sought on an amendment to the Medicaid 1915(c) Children with Medically Fragile Needs Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver changing the age limit to 21.
The Medically Fragile Children’s Waiver currently provides services to children between the ages of three to 18 who are medically fragile. The goal of this waiver is to assist families in keeping their child home instead of having to place them in a nursing home or hospital to receive needed care.
Replacement benefits are available for SNAP participants who lost food due to power outages in ND counties affected by June storms

As required by federal regulation, the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services will submit a plan for the intended use of Social Service Block Grant funds to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The funding allotted to North Dakota through the Social Service Block Grant is estimated to be $3,731,364 for the period beginning October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026.
