Registration is still open for the fifth annual North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) Behavioral Health & Children and Family Services Conference, scheduled for Oct. 20-23, at the Bismarck Event Center. The conference will also be available via online livestream.  

The conference brings together behavioral health and child welfare professionals from across the state to connect, learn, share best practices and engage in professional development. Behavioral health advocates, service providers, child welfare professionals, business and community leaders, faith-based organizations, first responders, law enforcement and tribal representatives are encouraged to attend.

North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) announced today that the Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification application is now available online marking an important step in strengthening the state’s health workforce and improving access to care and support.

October is recognized nationwide as National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and inspire action to stop bullying in all its forms. Parents Lead, administered through North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS), is encouraging families, schools and communities to come together to promote kindness, connection and respect. 

Lt. Gov. Michelle Strinden, state legislators and representatives from North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) visited Best in Class programs on Monday to observe how they promote quality early learning experiences for children in the year before kindergarten.
