North Dakota uses a Self-Service Portal (SSP) for Medicaid, SNAP, CCAP, TANF and LIHEAP. In the SSP you can:

  • apply online
  • complete a review
  • update your contact information
  • view details about your case
  • report changes
  • upload documents
  • view notices

Link Your Account

To use the SSP you will need to link your case to your North Dakota Login. Step-by-step instructions for this process can be found below.

How to create a North Dakota Login

If you already have a North Dakota Login, you can skip to "How to link your case."

 

 

  1. Go to www.applyforhelp.nd.gov
  2. Choose from the following options:
    1. Apply Online
    2. Check My Benefits
    3. Complete a Review
  3. You will be taken to the North Dakota Login screen. Click "Create an account."
  4. Enter the information as prompted.
  5. Once you are finished, click "Create account."
  6. On the next screen enter your activation code, which will be emailed or sent via text to the contact information you entered.
  7. Click "Confirm."

You will receive a confirmation that your account has been activated. Now you can click "Return to online service" and log in to the SSP using the user ID and password you just created.

If you are applying or completing a review for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, Child Care Assistance or LIHEAP and are having technical issues, complete an online incident form.

If you have questions about your benefits or filling out an application or review, contact your local human service zone office (formerly called county social service office). To find contact information, click on your county using this North Dakota map.
