Effective on or after October 1, 2024, North Dakota Medicaid will be submitting a state plan amendment to cover a Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) device outside of a DRG payment to the instate hospital when the device is inserted prior to the discharge from the delivery stay. Medicaid expenditures for these services are expected to increase $150,000 for a 12-month period.
