Overdose fatality data presented in this dashboard is obtained from a variety of sources including death certificates, coroner/medical examiner reports, law enforcement reports, crime laboratory reports, and toxicology results. Additionally, data from our syndromic surveillance program captures and analyzes health-indicator data to identify abnormal health conditions, events, and enable early detection of outbreaks.
