North Dakota Children and Family Services (CFS) is responsible to administer policy, provide oversight and ensure consistency and compliance with child welfare practice requirements across the state. Through clear policy guidance, well-defined roles and coordinated oversight, North Dakota child welfare strives to ensure children and families receive equitable, timely and high-quality engagement to services, regardless of where they live.

ND child welfare policy is located on two separate bookshelves, with the 615-05 manual under development online.  This page is a temporary solution to ensure workforce and providers have access to current policy. The PDF of the full policy manual is available below by topic for download or you may view the online manuals at:

Policy references various state forms. All forms can be found linked in policy manual or online at ND Forms.
