The online license renewal option is available to all license holders in good standing for annual renewal. In order to renew using the online portal, you will need to have your renewal notice with business code available. If you are not a current license holder, you will not be able to purchase a license through this page and will need to reach out to the Food and Lodging Unit at (701) 328-1291 or foodandlodging@nd.gov regarding application for a license.

General License Renewal Information

  • Renewals must be received or postmarked by December 31 annually to avoid a late fee.
    • Renew online with a debit or credit card.
    • Renew by mail using a check or money order.
  • Licenses not renewed before December 31 can renew by paying a late fee within 60 days (no later than March 1).
  • A new license application is required after the first 60 days of the new year and the applicant must meet all requirements for licensure.

Both year-round and seasonal operations must renew by 12/31 to avoid a late fee. Licenses not renewed before 12/31 can renew by paying a late fee within 60 days (no later than 3/1).
