We work in conjunction with community resources such as Opening Doors and Thrive (a Goldmark program) in establishing and maintaining housing; Vocational Rehab, Job Service, etc. to assist in employment; SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, AA/NA, Peer Support, and other recovery services to assist along your recovery journey. CUP also prides itself on assisting a diverse type of individuals, with an emphasis on LGBTQ+ and other minority groups.
Alongside ensuring that a person is stable in the community, we also believe that it is necessary to heal from the inside out, with wellness being the ultimate goal. We routinely work with area mental health providers to ensure a holistic continuum of care for individuals is established.

We don’t stop offering grace, helping people, and creating change. We’re criminal justice reform warriors who offer grace without question & create change for those who hustle.
The formerly incarcerated and those suffering with addiction have limited resources available to them. They struggle to obtain even the simplest things due to an unfair stigma. People recently released from prison or recovery facilities don’t have a place to live or a means to communicate with people who can lift them up. They don’t have a job and often times find employment difficult if they don’t have a driver’s license or a reliable means of transportation. Felons and addicts don’t serve their sentence and “serve their time.” Their entire life is affected. People call it a ‘permanent record’ for a reason.
F5 Project cuts the red tape & eliminate barriers. We are the hands and feet on the street offering housing, resources, and a customized support plan for those who need us. Together we can make a difference! We offer help and connection through the entire state of North Dakota and in Moorhead, MN.

Since 1992 we have connected clients with resources in the community such as chemical dependency treatment, mental health treatment and violence treatment to help them fulfil their court requirements. Our organization wants to see offenders succeed and lead productive lives, not re-enter the system to become repeat offenders or struggle with addiction. Being a part of the Free through Recovery Program gives our case managers a chance to help more in-depth with each client whether it be finding proper treatment, housing, education, employment, or support groups. Our compassionate and empathetic case managers want to help you succeed in all areas of your life and will be with you every step of the way through your recovery. As an organization that works closely with the court and probation we have long seen bad decisions that could be prevented if a client had more help along the way or better opportunities in society. We believe each individual deserves the chance at succeeding and we want to help each client RESTORE their lives.
