Free Through Recovery - Region 3 (Devils Lake)

A New Creation is deeply passionate about recovery. We live and breathe it—having fought the battle of addiction ourselves. We know what it feels like to be “too far gone” and to face the stigma that often follows addiction and incarceration.

We believe that people can change. There is always hope. My husband and I are living testimonies of God’s transforming power, and we desire to share that hope with others. We are no longer slaves to addiction—we are new creations in Christ. Our hearts beat for the lost and the broken, and our purpose is to help others find freedom from the bondage of addiction.

At A New Creation, we mentor and advocate for our clients with compassion and purpose. Each individual receives a personalized care plan designed around their goals, strengths, and needs. We partner with parole and probation offices and serve those who are incarcerated, visiting jails and reentry centers to offer encouragement and guidance. As certified Living Free Facilitators, we also lead small groups that address life-controlling issues and foster healing in a supportive community.

Our desire is for clients to live sober, intentional, and purpose-driven lives. We emphasize the importance of healthy relationships and parent-child restoration. Understanding how difficult it can be to transition back into society after incarceration or treatment, we connect clients to vital community resources—including support groups, housing, employment, counseling, and assistance programs.

A New Creation is committed to raising awareness about addiction and mental health. The road to recovery can be challenging, but no one has to walk it alone. We are here to equip individuals with the tools and support they need to succeed and live a beautiful, hope-filled life. It is possible to step out of the darkness and into the light—because there is always hope.

Aspire Services Inc. is an agency started in 2025 by co-owners Jeff Jacobson and Jennifer Parisien, both of whom have 30+ years of experience collectively in providing services to diverse populations in region 3. Aspire Services is a licensed provider for ND Department of Health and Human Services in Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral Health and Aging. Our goal is to provide services for people to maintain or increase independence in their own homes. Aspire Services Inc. operates under the mission of "Transforming Challenges into Opportunities". Our philosophy is to meet people where they are and develop individualized supports to help meet their needs. 
 

Aspire Services Inc. is committed to connecting individuals in need with services and resources available to set themselves up for long-term success. What sets Aspire apart from other providers is the professional relationships that have been built within the Spirit Lake and Turtle Mountain Reservations, both of which are located in Region 3. Aspire Services Inc. operates an outreach office within the boundaries of the Spirit Lake Nation to eliminate barriers such as lack of transportation and cultural awareness.

Community Options is a reputable statewide agency that provides person-centered care coordination services to support you as you pursue your ambitions and strive for independence. Our meetings take place at the location of your choice, and our support plans are based on your preferences. We understand the many challenges of life after incarceration. Our focus is to help support you through goal-setting, referrals to community resources, and assistance from several other internal programs/services. We have highly trained, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff that will provide you with stability and the best chances for a successful future that you can be proud of!

Services available:

• Finding adequate housing and accessing housing assistance programs
• Finding employment, resume development, interview skills, and job coaching
• Assisting with transportation
• Assisting with mental health and substance use challenges
• Assisting with completion of paperwork for assistance programs
• Providing financial assistance through the State Gap Funding process
  (Up to $100 per year in each approved expense category)
• Connecting you to peer supports with lived experience for additional support

We don’t stop offering grace, helping people, and creating change. We’re criminal justice reform warriors  who offer grace without question & create change for those who hustle.

The formerly incarcerated and those suffering with addiction have limited resources available to them. They struggle to obtain even the simplest things due to an unfair stigma. People recently released from prison or recovery facilities don’t have a place to live or a means to communicate with people who can lift them up. They don’t have a job and often times find employment difficult if they don’t have a driver’s license or a reliable means of transportation. Felons and addicts don’t serve their sentence and “serve their time.” Their entire life is affected. People call it a ‘permanent record’ for a reason.

F5 Project cuts the red tape & eliminate barriers. We are the hands and feet on the street offering housing, resources, and a customized support plan for those who need us. Together we can make a difference! We offer help and connection through the entire state of North Dakota and in Moorhead, MN.
