Categories: Public NoticesEffective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2026, North Dakota Medicaid will be providing a 3.2% inflationary increase for all Nursing Facility services. In addition, North Dakota is transitioning to a new classification system titled ND PDPM, to more accurately reflects residents’ health and care needs. Medicaid expenditures for these services are expected to increase $20 million for a 12-month period.

North Dakota confirms 7 measles cases, public advised of potential exposures

Categories: Public HealthNorth Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) reports that the 2026 measles case count has risen to seven total confirmed cases, including six in Pembina County and one in Williams County. Two individuals have been hospitalized, and five of the cases involve adults over age 19.
Individuals contagious with measles visited numerous public locations throughout the state during their infectious period. Anyone who was present at these locations during the listed dates and times could have been exposed. Details of exposure locations, along with guidance on what to do if you may have been exposed, are available at hhs.nd.gov/measles.

BISMARCK, N.D. (Feb. 18, 2026) – North Dakota Health and Human Services offices in Devils Lake, Grafton, Rolla, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Rolla, Valley City and Williston will open two hours late Wednesday, Feb. 18, due to hazardous weather and road conditions. Affected offices include regional behavioral health clinics and their satellite and outreach offices, and vocational rehabilitation offices . Details appear below.

Due to continued hazardous weather and road conditions, North Dakota Health and Human Services has closed additional offices today, Wednesday, Feb. 18, while some locations will continue with delayed openings.
The following offices are closed for the remainder of the day:
Williston: Northwest Behavioral Health Clinic and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices in Williston
Valley City: outreach office for South Central Behavioral Health Clinic
Grafton: outreach office for Northeast Behavioral Health Clinic
One case of measles reported in Pembina County; brings 2026 cases to two in North Dakota

Helmsley Charitable Trust, and local community members and partners celebrated the lives saved in the state through a grant program to equip rural law enforcement officers with modern, “connected” automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
