Our local offices have professionals on site who can help people with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), heating assistance, Medicaid (including children's health services), basic care assistance, child care assistance, child welfare, and referrals to other programs.

Effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2026, North Dakota Medicaid will be providing a 3.2% inflationary increase for all Nursing Facility services. In addition, North Dakota is transitioning to a new classification system titled ND PDPM, to more accurately reflects residents’ health and care needs. Medicaid expenditures for these services are expected to increase $20 million for a 12-month period.

North Dakota public health officials, the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and community partners are celebrating the lives saved during a multi-year Automated External Defibrillator (AED) equipment grant program that provided modern AEDs to law enforcement agencies across the state.
