Best practices in suicide prevention are programs, policies, and interventions that are informed by research evidence, expert consensus, and/or demonstrated outcomes in reducing suicide risk and promoting protective factors. These approaches are typically grounded in public health and prevention science and may include evidence-based, evidence-informed, or promising practices identified through national registries and expert review processes.”
