Our local offices have professionals on site who can help people with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), heating assistance, Medicaid (including children's health services), basic care assistance, child care assistance, child welfare, and referrals to other programs.

Categories: ProcurementThe North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Medical Services Division, is accepting applications for a vendor to provide Critical Access Hospital Networking support for the development, expansion and sustainability of a statewide clinically integrated network that serves independent critical access hospitals in North Dakota.
The 69th North Dakota Legislative Assembly in 2025 appropriated $2,000,000 through HB 1012, Section 18, from the Community Health Trust Fund to fund this project.
This funding builds on the previous biennium’s efforts (SB 2012, 2023) to strengthen rural health care capacity, data-sharing and value-based care readiness.

North Dakota Best in Class program marks 5th anniversary with increased funding for early childhood experiences in the year before kindergarten

As the Best in Class program marks its fifth anniversary, North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) has received new funding to expand the program and provide more children with high-quality early childhood experiences.
HHS announced today that 64 early childhood programs and 94 classrooms across North Dakota are participating in Best in Class which focuses on giving children in the year before kindergarten a strong start. The program invests in early childhood providers who are committed to delivering engaging, meaningful, high-quality experiences to children and their families.
