Medical Marijuana

2025 Legislative Assembly Bills Passed

Effective August 1, 2025, there will be changes occurring with the Medical Marijuana Program due to legislation being passed by the 69^th Legislative Assembly. Highlights include:

• Manufacturing facilities will begin processing a cannabinoid edible product.
• Registry identification cards for qualifying patients will now have a two-year expiration, rather than one year. The application fee will be changed from $25 for a one-year expiration to $40 for the two-year expiration.
• For an initial patient application, an in-person medical evaluation will no longer be required (telehealth will be allowed).
