BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota Health and Human Services offices in Bismarck, Devils Lake, Fargo, Grafton, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Rolla and Valley City will be closed Thursday, Nov. 10 in response to winter weather warnings and anticipated hazardous travel conditions. Affected offices include five of the agency’s regional human service centers and their satellite and outreach offices, and the agency’s vocational rehabilitation offices co-located at those sites. IMPORTANT: People experiencing a behavioral health crisis should call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline or 211 for immediate help. Both are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

AFFECTED OFFICES:
Bismarck region: West Central Human Service Center in Bismarck and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices will be closed.  

Devils Lake region: Lake Region Human Service Center in Devils Lake and its outreach office in Rolla will be closed along with the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices.

Fargo region:  Southeast Human Service Center and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices in Fargo will be closed. 

Grand Forks region: Northeast Human Service Center and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices in Grand Forks will be closed along with NEHSC’s Grafton outreach office. 

Jamestown region: South Central Human Service Center and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices in Jamestown and SCHSC’s outreach office in Valley City will be closed.

Clients with previously scheduled appointments are being contacted. Office closure decisions are made for the safety of clients and team members and align with closures of other community clinics and government organizations. 

Weather-related office closure information can be found on the HHS Facebook and Twitter pages and website at hhs.nd.gov. Child support customers can conduct normal business 24-hours a day on that division’s secure website at childsupport.dhs.nd.gov.

State offices are closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. The department anticipates resuming normal business hours at all locations next week.
