The Gaming Division regulates, enforces, and administers charitable gaming in North Dakota, performs audits and investigations of gaming organizations, reviews gaming tax returns and administrative complaints, and provides training for charitable gaming organizations in order to promote transparency and accountability, and to ensure the honesty and integrity of all gaming activities. The Gaming Investigator I would aid the Bureau of Criminal Investigation's lead Gaming Criminal Investigator by assisting with criminal investigations involving charitable gaming and other related laws. As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. This includes operating heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties like basic snow and ice control/removal. You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails. To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties. Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, including litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.You will complete building and ground maintenance duties and general routine roadway and radio system equipment maintenance. You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc. You will receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.An essential part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers, and others.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid North Dakota Class A drivers license with air brakes with a cargo tanker endorsement by the first day of work.Two years of relevant experience.Requires reporting to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events. * If unable to find a candidate with preferred experience, will consider filling this position as an Equipment Operator I or an Equipment Operator in Training:To be considered for an equipment operator I, you must have a valid North Dakota Class B drivers license. Requires reporting to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events.To be considered for an Equipment Operator in Training, you must have a valid North Dakota Class A drivers permit with air brakes and a cargo tanker endorsement by the first day of work. The employee will have 12 months to obtain a North Dakota Class A drivers license with air brakes and cargo-tanker endorsement. Requires reporting to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events. Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test, medical screening, reference check, and driving records check.
