What we do

Our services are one-of-a-kind. We custom build or modify existing equipment to help you move about in your community and live as independently as possible.

We bring our services directly to you. This could be in your home, worksite, school, daycare, place of recreation or a nursing home, group home or other community/residential setting. We can also work with you if you are returning home from a hospital or nursing home stay.

We complete an individualized assessment with you and other important people in your life to determine your abilities, needs and goals. We take that information back to our workshop and build or modify a piece of equipment that meets your needs. Our team delivers it to you for a fitting and teaches you how to use it.

You can also stop in to custom fit a piece of equipment at our workshop on the Life Skills and Transition Center campus in Grafton, N.D.

Our services help people with disabilities of all ages, from children to adults.

Services We Provide

Customized Equipment

Adaptive equipment doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy – it needs to be built to suit your needs to increase your independence.

Some common examples of our work:

  • Custom-molded wheelchairs
  • Custom supports for sitting upright, standing or lying in bed
  • Equipment for bathing, using the bathroom, grooming or eating
  • Made-to-fit bikes, activity chairs and other leisure equipment

Loan program

We also offer gently-used adaptive equipment through the North Dakota Assistive Technology for All Program.

North Dakotans can request the pre-owned equipment for any length of time at no cost.

We can either deliver the items to your home or they can be picked up at our workshop in Grafton.

Some examples include:

  • Wheelchairs (manual or power)
  • Walkers
  • Standers
  • Shower chairs and toilet risers
  • Mechanical lifts
